...to enjoy the sunset

this is actually a stitch of 3 horizontal shots stacked on top of each other. i wanted more clouds and rock in my shot then i was getting from a simple vertical crop. and these were the last 3 photos my camera took before my battery died.

taken west of Nordegg in Alberta, Canada

Ah I see what you mean now :)
I have decided for now, not to offer my deviant art photos as prints.
But you can go to my website and contact me there if you are interested in a canvas print or a fine art print! I don't have prices up but just send me an email if you wish to go that route!

website is

Thanks a lot!

I may not become a customer for the time being, due to being a lonely student, but next academic year I'll have a flat to decorate :D and a person to live with.

I'll definitely bookmark Your site, which is great by the way!

yes, this water is intense.
it looks more aqua when the sun is directly shining on it though

hmmm, thought i checked that out in lightroom while processing... it looks ok to me, might be an optical illusion because of the lower rocks retreating into the lower part of the frame?

either way i will have to take a look at this shot again to be sure.

thanks for the comments!

never tried tying three images together like that. I guess you'd get a really wide field of view. what's your tripod/head setup look like?

ya and i usally crop them so that it's still 2:3 aspect ratio
i'm just using a $400 or so manfrotto with the matching head i believe. it's kinda heavy.
something carbon fibre would be nice for hikes though. this one's a bit hard to lug around

cool cool. yah I'm using a manfrotto body as well. whats the model of your head? Mine definitely does not have the precision that I need.

it's the manfrotto 488rc2 head
tripod is manfrotto 055xprob

it's ok for what i do cause i'm pretty rough with it haha.

haha fair enough. i have a 190xprob, I think its pretty much the same thing. I have a shitty ball head though (no handle even... so pretty useless) haha.

my ball head is ok...it's not that bad of a tripod, just a lot of weight on a long trek. i need to look into carbon fibre.
